Therapy
Your experiences — and the meaning you make of them — are unique to you. There is no one-size-fits-all approach.
My therapeutic background is psychodynamic, offering the opportunity to explore how past experiences and unconscious patterns may be shaping your thoughts, feelings and relationships today. While this forms the foundation of my work, I recognise that every person is different, and I tailor my approach to your individual needs and goals.
People come to therapy for many different reasons. You may be experiencing stress, anxiety or low mood, struggling with relationship difficulties, navigating a significant life change, or finding that past experiences continue to affect your present.
You may feel stuck, notice yourself repeating unhelpful patterns, feel a loss of direction, or simply want time and space to reflect and understand yourself more deeply.
Together, we will work at a pace that feels right for you, making sense of your experiences, building self-awareness, and finding a way forward.
Following our first contact, I will offer an initial consultation as soon as possible. This first meeting gives us the chance to discuss what has brought you to therapy, explore what you hope to achieve, and consider whether we are the right fit to work together.
Hello, I’m Pallvi
Hello, I am Pallvi — a Psychodynamic Therapist, Clinical Supervisor and Tutor, committed to providing a warm, thoughtful and confidential space where you can explore whatever is bringing you to counselling.
I am an accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), holding a Postgraduate Diploma in Psychodynamic Counselling (BACP-accredited) and a Diploma in Clinical Supervision. My work is underpinned by the BACP Ethical Framework, ensuring I practise safely, ethically and with integrity.
Before training as a therapist, I spent many years in people management. That experience gave me a deep appreciation of the pressures modern life places on us, and of how much it matters to have a space to pause, reflect and be truly heard. It also shaped my belief in the resilience people carry, even through life’s most challenging times.
I believe every person has a unique story. Rather than offering advice or quick fixes, I work alongside you with curiosity, compassion and without judgement, helping you build a deeper understanding of yourself and your experiences.
Alongside my private practice, I work as a Clinical Supervisor and Tutor, supporting qualified and trainee counsellors in their professional development — work that keeps me connected to current thinking in the profession and continually enriches my own clinical practice.
Clinical Supervision
I offer clinical supervision to qualified counsellors and counsellors in training, providing a reflective, collaborative and supportive space to think about your clinical work and professional development.
My approach is grounded in the belief that effective supervision is built on trust, openness and mutual respect. I aim to create an environment where you feel safe to reflect honestly on your client work, celebrate successes, explore challenges, and grow in confidence as a practitioner.
As a qualified Clinical Supervisor, my work is informed by the BACP Ethical Framework and a commitment to anti-oppressive, reflective practice. I see supervision as more than monitoring clinical work — it is an opportunity to deepen self-awareness, strengthen therapeutic effectiveness, and maintain ethical, safe and compassionate practice.
I work with both experienced practitioners and trainees, adapting my approach to your stage of development. Whether you are looking for ongoing supervision, support with complex client work, or space to reflect on your professional identity, supervision offers room to think creatively and critically about your practice.
Teaching & Development
Alongside my private practice, I work as a Tutor, supporting trainee counsellors in developing their clinical knowledge, reflective capacity and professional identity. My teaching draws on clinical experience as a psychodynamic counsellor and supervisor — bridging theory with the realities of therapeutic practice.
Supporting trainee counsellors in an engaging, supportive learning environment — developing clinical knowledge, ethical awareness and professional identity.
Drawing on extensive professional experience, I work with organisations seeking to promote psychological wellbeing, reflective practice and emotionally informed leadership.
Available for professional development sessions, CPD workshops and BACP contributions, reflecting a commitment to good practice across the wider counselling profession.
